Mother’s day ideas
Mum’s are so special and for their special day we thought we’d give you some idea’s for some activities that you can do with your mum, either as a planned day out or a surprise
(small hint – everyone loves a surprise!)
Nothing says ‘I love you’ more than a spa day. Denbighshire has plenty to choose from and there’s no need to travel far.
With spa’s in the north, south and centre of the county , then it’s easy to find the perfect spa break and relieve all tension for you and your mum.
And lookout for any Mother’s Day spa offers!
Book a Mother’s Day meal at Cafe R in the Craft Centre in the market town of Ruthin. Whether it is a 2 or 3 course meal Cafe R tailors to all customers diet, and you can treat your mum to a slice of cake (we won’t tell anyone!)
Then you can have a leisurely browse through the town shops in order to walk off the Mother’s Day lunch.
For over 100 years, visitors have enjoyed trips from Llangollen Wharf, why not take your mother to a beautiful part of Denbighshire and experience it’s World Heritage Site canal in a different way to walking.
Watch the fish swim lazily by in the clear water delivered fresh from the River Dee as your boat glides silently through the Welsh mountains.
Book a table at the new 1891 restaurant in Rhyl and enjoy a wonderful dinner that can be followed with a coastal walk across the stunning coast of Rhyl.
With it being on the first floor of the newly refurbished Pavilion Theatre it is a great way to see the town in a new light!
A more adventurous Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day pampering isn’t for everyone……some prefer adventure!
With the like of Llangollen Outdoors, Stand up Paddle-boarding (Corwen) and Pro-Kitesurfing in Rhyl, there are enough activities to get your teeth into if you’d like to book a more adventurous Mother’s Day!
(There’s even activities for your dog to join in on!)
A quiet and tranquil walk through the trees near Loggerheads Country Park is the perfect way to unwind on Mother’s Day.
And with all of the family welcome including the family dog (don’t forget your lead!) then this makes for a great day out and even a little treat at Caffi Florence at the end of your journey.
Forgot to get a Mother’s Day gift? Why not have a day of retail therapy as an excuse and buy a present in the busy high street at Prestatyn.
With a variety of shops, cafe’s and a beautiful blue flag beach, then a trip to the seaside town can make for a perfect Mother’s Day and great day out for the family as well!
